YOUR WORD

Lord, You have invited me to pray for the needs of others, and since You desire what is best for them, I take this opportunity to bring these requests to You.

My soul, wait silently for God alone,
For my hope comes from Him.
He alone is my rock and my salvation;
He is my fortress, I will not be shaken.
In God is my salvation and my glory;
My rock of strength, my refuge is in God.
Trust in Him at all times, O people;
Pour out your heart before Him;
God is our refuge. (Psalm 62:5-8)

Take a moment to lift up the needs of your family and friends, and to offer up any other burdens for others that the Lord brings to mind.

MY PRAYER

The thoughts of the righteous are just, but the advice of the wicked is deceitful. (Proverbs 12:5)

I will walk properly as in the daytime, not in revellings and drunkenness, not in promiscuity and debauchery, not in strife and jealousy. Rather, I will put on the Lord Jesus Christ and make no provision to gratify the lusts of the flesh. (Romans 13:13-14)

Lord, I thank You that You look at the heart and not at outward appearances. I pray that Christ would increase in my life, and I ask that I would live in His power and turn away from the lusts of the flesh.

YOUR WORD

As I approach Your throne of grace today, I am grateful that You care about the things that concern me and that You want me to offer them up to You.

By God's grace I want to live to the end in faith, knowing that I will not receive the promises on earth, but seeing them and welcoming them from a distance, I confess that I am a stranger and a pilgrim on the earth. Instead, I long for a better country, a heavenly one. In this way, God will not be ashamed to be called my God, for He has prepared a city for me. Like Moses, may I esteem reproach for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of this world, because I am looking to the reward. (Hebrews 11:13, 16, 26)

Take a moment to share your personal needs with God, including your physical, emotional, relational, and spiritual concerns.

MY PRAYER

Trouble and anguish have come upon me, but Your commands are my delight. (Psalm 119:143)

You know the way that I take; when You have tested me, I shall come forth as gold. My feet have held fast to Your steps; I have kept to Your way without turning aside. (Job 23:10-11)

Lord, I thank You for the freedom that comes from Your Spirit and for the reality of Your kingdom. I thank You that Your word challenges our false assumptions, and I ask that I would hold fast to Your steps and delight in Your commands.

YOUR WORD

I praise You, Lord, that You are intimately acquainted with my ways and that You always love me and have my best interests at heart.

May I fear the Lord and serve You in truth with all my heart, for I consider what great things You have done for me. (1 Samuel 12:24)

May I not transgress the commandments of the Lord, for I cannot prosper in disobedience. May I not forsake the Lord. (2 Chronicles 24:20)

Take a moment to offer this day to the Lord and ask Him for the grace to grow in your knowledge and love for Him.

MY PRAYER

I will learn to do good, seek justice, remove the oppressor, defend the orphan, and plead for the widow. (Isaiah 1:17)

I will not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. (Hebrews 13:16)

Lord, I thank You for the good news that I can have the joy of coming to You through Christ Jesus. I thank You that You are the Rock of my refuge, and I ask that I would do good and share with those who are in need.

YOUR WORD

I am grateful to You, O God, for the blessing of your forgiveness. I thank You that in Christ, You set me free from the guilt of the past and give me hope for the future.

My trespasses are multiplied before You,
And my sins testify against me.
For my transgressions are with me,
And I know my iniquities:
Transgressing and lying against the Lord,
And departing from my God,
Speaking oppression and revolt,
Uttering lies my heart has conceived. (Isaiah 59:12-13)

Take a moment to ask the Spirit to search your heart and reveal any areas of unconfessed sin. Acknowledge these to the Lord and thank Him for His forgiveness.

MY PRAYER

He who covers a transgression seeks love, but he who repeats a matter separates close friends. (Proverbs 17:9)

I will put away all bitterness and anger and wrath and shouting and slander, along with all malice. And I will be kind and compassionate to others, forgiving them just as God in Christ also forgave me. (Ephesians 4:31-32)

Lord, I thank You that You sent Your Son into the world and that He purchased our salvation. I pray that I would be fully committed to You all my days, and I ask that I would put away slander, wrath, and abusive speech and practice kindness, compassion, and forgiveness.

YOUR WORD

Lord, I give thanks for Your greatness, your goodness, and your love, and I now draw near to enjoy your presence.

How precious are Your thoughts to me, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
If I should count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand.
When I awake, I am still with You. (Psalm 139:17-18)

To whom can I liken You or count You equal?
To whom can I compare You that You may be alike? (Isaiah 46:5)

Take a moment to consider God’s awesome majesty and thank Him that He loves you and wants an intimate relationship with you.

MY PRAYER

A wise man fears and departs from evil, but a fool is arrogant and bold. A quick-tempered man acts foolishly, and a man of evil plots is hated. (Proverbs 14:16-17)

It is not good for a person to be without knowledge, and he who hastens with his feet sins. (Proverbs 19:2)

Lord, I thank You for Your matchless holiness and for Your mercy and compassion toward Your people. I thank You that You are the Lord who sanctifies me, and I ask that I would depart from evil and pursue wisdom and knowledge.
