YOUR WORD
I praise You, Lord, that You are intimately acquainted with my ways and that You always love me and have my best interests at heart.
You are God Almighty; may I walk before You and be blameless. (Genesis 17:1)
May I love my enemies, do good to them, and lend to them, expecting nothing in return. Then my reward will be great, and I will be a child of the Most High; for He is kind to the ungrateful and evil. May I be merciful just as my Father is merciful. (Luke 6:35-36)
Take a moment to offer this day to the Lord and ask Him for the grace to grow in your knowledge and love for Him.
MY PRAYER
This is the message we heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brethren. The one who does not love abides in death. By this we know love, that Christ laid down His life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. (1 John 3:11, 14, 16)
We should love one another, for love is from God, and everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, for God is love. (1 John 4:7-8)
Lord, I thank You for Your holiness and for the mighty deeds You have done. I thank You that I have peace in Christ, and I ask that I would love others in the same way You loved me.
