Redemption: Part 13
Taken from Handbook to Renewal
Jesus performed the first of His miraculous signs in Cana of Galilee and manifested His glory, and His disciples believed in Him. (John 2:11)
The Lord said, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.” But He was speaking of the temple of His body. After He was raised from the dead, His disciples remembered that He had said this to them, and they believed the Scripture and the words that Jesus had spoken. (John 2:19, 21-22)
Jesus knew all men, and had no need for anyone’s testimony about man, for He knew what was in man. (John 2:24-25)
As Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert, so the Son of Man had to be lifted up, that everyone who believes in Him may have eternal life. (John 3:14-15)
God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. (John 3:16-17)
The light has come into the world, but men loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the light and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever practices the truth comes into the light, so that his deeds may be clearly seen as having been done through God. (John 3:19-21)
He who comes from above is above all; he who is from the earth belongs to the earth, and speaks as one from the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all. He whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for He gives the Spirit without limit. (John 3:31, 34)
Just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son gives life to whom He wishes. (John 5:21)
The Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son, that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him. (John 5:22-23)
All these testified that Jesus is the Son of God: John the Baptist, the works that Jesus did, the Father, and the Scriptures. (John 5:31-39)
