A Leadership Revolution

"This Jesus of Nazareth, without money and arms, conquered more millions than Alexander, Caesar, Mohammed, and Napoleon; without science...he shed more light on things human and divine than all philosophers and scholars combined; without the eloquence of schools, he spoke such words of life as were never spoken before or since, and produced effects which lie beyond the reach of orator or poet; without writing a single line, he set more pens in motion, and furnished themes for more sermons, orations, discussions, learned volumes, works of art, and songs of praise than the whole army of great men of ancient and modern times." Philip Schaff, Historian

"Do not be called leaders, for One is your leader, that is Christ. But the greatest among you shall be your servant and whoever exalts himself shall be humbled and whoever humbles himself shall be exalted."
Jesus Christ, Matthew 23:10-12

No Need for More "On My Own" Leaders

The world clamors that there is a leadership crisis, and we need more leaders. They point to the erosion of influence in our society and across the world. There are great difficulties wherever we turn, and it seems that we are losing ground. In many ways the conditions of our day are not much different than in the days of Jesus Christ. What was His answer? A revolutionary, wild solution - we don't need more leaders who operate from their own resources! WE HAVE THE ONE LEADER - CHRIST! We need people who are available to let Christ live and lead through them. Wow! What a different perspective.

The One Leader

Jesus was a leader like no other. His overwhelming influence on history and the culture of the world is experienced by millions everyday. Jesus described himself as the "One Leader" implying that He would work through each of us as leaders. For both the disciples and for us, our call is to follow, serve and allow Christ to work through each of us. How radically different this is today, when so many seek the position of leader and will do anything to remain in power.

Jesus Christ - The Revolutionary

Christ came to upset the status quo of this world. He came to change men and give them life. He turned against the establishment and literally threw them out of the temple. His plan for leaders was simple: spark a revolution. The revolution begins with Christ being unleashed through people who humble and empty themselves, thus, becoming totally available to be used by Christ.

Consider your arena of influence i.e., home, business, ministry. What kind of leader are you? A leader who reflects Christ or reflects man?

"Whatever our career may be, true leadership means to receive power from God and to use it under God's rule to serve people in God's way." ~ Leighton Ford
